Returns Policy

1. Overview

At Automations Smart, customer satisfaction is our priority. We stand behind the quality of our smart locks, garage automation products, and professional installation services. This Return & Refund Policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, replacements, and refunds.

2. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return or replacement if:

2.1 Faulty or Defective Product

If your product is faulty, damaged, or not working as described, we will provide:

  • A replacement, or

  • A refund, or

  • A repair (if applicable)

This applies within 30 days of receiving the product.

2.2 Incorrect Item Received

If you receive the wrong item, we will arrange:

  • Free return shipping, and

  • A replacement or refund

3. Change of Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery if:

  • The product is unused,

  • In original condition, and

  • In original packaging (where applicable).

Exceptions:
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for:

  • Installed products

  • Customised installations

  • Opened/used hardware

  • Sale or clearance items

A 15% restocking fee may apply for approved change-of-mind returns.

4. Installation Services

4.1 Non-Refundable Services

Installation fees are non-refundable once the technician has completed the service or has arrived onsite.

4.2 Installation-Related Issues

If an issue arises due to our installation:

  • We will rectify the issue free of charge.

  • Additional work caused by structural/home issues (e.g., poor alignment, wiring faults, damaged doors) may incur additional charges.

5. Warranty Coverage

All Automations Smart products include:

✔ 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty

Covers hardware failures, defects, and component malfunctions.

✔ 5-Year Workmanship Warranty (installation jobs)

Covers installation quality, stability, and fitting issues.

Warranty claims do not cover:

  • Physical damage

  • Water damage

  • Misuse

  • Battery leakage

  • Damage caused by third-party installers or modifications

6. Return Process

To start a return, contact us at:

  • Order number

  • Product name

  • Reason for return

  • Photos/videos (for faults)

We will respond within 1–2 business days with next steps.

7. Return Shipping

  • For faulty/incorrect items → We cover return shipping.

  • For change-of-mind returns → Customer covers return shipping.

Products must be returned using a trackable service.

8. Refunds & Replacements

Once the return is received and inspected:

  • Replacements are shipped within 1–2 business days.

  • Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 3–7 business days.

9. Non-Returnable Items

  • Installed locks or systems

  • Custom installations

  • Clearance items

  • Software/app subscriptions

  • Products damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, or unauthorised modifications
